Woodland Creation Champion - Schools & Groups (Selected Locations)

Opportunity image

We want to make sure everybody in the UK has the chance to plant a tree. Through our Free Trees for Schools and Communities programme, we have already given away over 13 million free trees to schools and community groups across the UK.

Our Woodland Creation Champion - Schools & Groups volunteer network is vital in helping us succeed in our ambitions and expand our work. Join us as a Woodland Creation Champion - Schools & Groups Volunteer and you’ll be helping us by undertaking both desk-based research and on the ground networking in local areas of low tree equity to identify key organisations we can engage in our work, proactively developing relationships with relevant individuals, community groups and stakeholders, assisting them in the process to receive and plant their free trees, and undertaking monitoring and feedback.

This role would suit somebody who has (or is willing to proactively develop) local connections within their community and who can work proactively and independently to support those communities to engage with our Free Trees for Schools and Communities scheme.

We are currently recruiting in Bradford, Leicester and Birmingham.

To achieve our vision of a world where woods and trees thrive for people and nature, we need to better reflect society and the communities we work in. All people, no matter their background, identity, ability, or circumstance, should benefit from trees. People of colour are currently under-represented across the environment and conservation sector. If you identify as a person of colour, we particularly encourage you to apply.
