The Young People's Forest, based in Mead in Derbyshire, is a woodland creation project where plans are created and carried out by young people, for young people and the local community. The project is focused on creating opportunities for young people to learn and grow together. Since the beginning of the project in 2019, young people have made an incredible difference to the landscape for the benefit of nature and the local community.

The Young Volunteers are a fantastic group of young people aged 13-17, who carry out a variety of tasks at the Young People’s Forest, Mead. We are keen to welcome more people to the team to build new skills, make friends and gain experience that makes your CV stand out.

Meeting every other weekend, this group is focused on practical tasks at the Young People’s Forest at Mead. This means being out in all weathers, working as part of a team to make an evident and lasting difference to the Young People’s Forest.
