Warden (Snaizeholme)

Opportunity image

We are looking for volunteer Wardens to be our eyes on the ground across our Snaizeholme site in the Yorkshire Dales. Regularly walking routes through the site, the volunteer Wardens will report issues to our Site Manager, and also note any interesting wildlife spotted in the wood. This role requires availability to visit the wood throughout the year, and is great opportunity for someone who enjoys walking outdoors to help us care for local woodland.

For this role you will need access to a phone, the internet and an email address, as well as suitable outdoor clothing for the site – including sturdy footwear and waterproofs. The site has areas of uneven terrain and is hilly, so a level of fitness is required.

The site is not accessible by public transport, so you will need your own method of transport to reach site (which is via a track which is uneven in places).

Anyone under 18 applying for this role must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered as a Woodland Trust volunteer.
