Working Group Member (Avon Valley Devon)
We are looking for volunteers to join our regular working group at Avon Valley Woods.
There is usually one Wednesday and one Sunday volunteering day each month from September-March.
Please read about this beautiful woodland here to get an idea of the site and it's features.
Before you apply please check the location of this volunteering.
You must live within 45 minutes travel time of Avon Valley Woods, TQ7 4DE. Any greater distance makes the volunteering unsustainable.
Our Working Groups help us to look after our wonderful sites across the UK. Carrying out a variety of practical tasks under the guidance of the Woodland Trust Site Manager, the Working Groups keep our sites looking great, keep our pathways accessible, and help us manage the woodland in line with our management plans. A great way to learn skills and meet new people, our Working Groups also directly contribute to the care and upkeep of valuable habitats.
Everyone deserves to have their lives enriched by woods and trees
To achieve our vision of a world where woods and trees thrive for people and nature, we need to better reflect society and the communities we work in. All people, no matter their background, identity, ability, or circumstance, should benefit from trees.
People of colour and disabled people are currently under-represented across the environment and conservation sector. If you identify as a person of colour and/or disabled, we particularly encourage you to apply.
Anyone under 18 applying for this role must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also registered as a Woodland Trust volunteer.
Please contact us to discuss any additional support or adjustments you may need to complete your application.
