Tree Health Surveyor (UK-wide)

Opportunity image

Pests and diseases are threatening our trees, woodlands and forests and our volunteers are essential in helping us tackle these challenges.

The Observatree project is a partnership delivered by Forest Research, Fera Science Ltd, National Trust, Woodland Trust, DEFRA and others, and relies on volunteers to carry out tree health surveys, which help tree health teams across the UK to understand the health of our trees and woodland and take appropriate action.

Join our team of Tree Health Surveyors and support the surveying of tree health across the UK, contributing to protecting trees from future threats.

To complete surveys out in the field, you will need a smartphone with a camera and ability to download apps. You will also need good internet connection to be able to upload your reports digitally.

Please note: due to the partnership nature of the project, as part of your volunteering role your name and postcode will be shared with our lead partner, Forest Research. This role also requires you to complete Tree Alerts for key findings, this is a Forest Research system which requires entry of your name and email address.
