Educational Activities Assistant (Smithills Estate, Bolton)

Supporting children and young people's groups, you will help open up the importance of conservation and protecting the environment within your local community.

This role will support our Events and Communications Officer with our new youth volunteer group. For 2025, these sessions will run for 2.5 hours on the last Sunday of the month. You do not need to commit to every session, we hope to have a team of volunteers who can share the timetable.

The youth volunteer group will complete practical conservation tasks, such as balsam bashing, tree planting and building bat boxes. Your role will be to help the group with tasks and create a supportive environment for our young volunteers to thrive. There may be opportunities in the future to lead the youth group, however, you are not expected to do this if you would prefer to assist only.
