Working Group Leader (Philipshill Wood, Chorleywood)
Our Working Groups help us to look after our wonderful sites across the UK. The Working Group Leader role is one of most important roles and is essential to the success of the Woodland Trust and our aims to help maintain and manage our estate across the UK. Carrying out a variety of practical tasks under the guidance of the Woodland Trust Site Manager, the Working Groups keep our sites looking great, keep our pathways accessible, and help us manage the woodland in line with our management plans. We are looking for an enthusiastic Working Group Leader to lead one of our working groups, working with your Volunteer Manager to create a programme of tasks linked to our site management plan. You will lead and motivate the group and keep them informed of upcoming tasks on site, using Assemble our volunteer app and website that makes communicating and organising your group easy and straight forward.
To achieve our vision of a world where woods and trees thrive for people and nature, we need to better reflect society and the communities we work in. All people, no matter their background, identity, ability, or circumstance, should benefit from trees. People of colour and disabled people are currently under-represented across the environment and conservation sector. If you identify as a person of colour and/or disabled, we particularly encourage you to apply.
Please contact us to discuss any additional support or adjustments you may need to complete your application.
